Our professional development program offers skill-building workshops designed to help educators with their mental health and wellbeing. We offer fun and dynamic workshops to help educators relieve stress or anxiety, prevent mental health problems, support recovery and resilience; enabling everyone to flourish and thrive. All of our classes are taught by professional art and dance instructors who have extensive teaching and coaching experience. Please contact us for more information.
Creative Art
Art can be used to build capacity for managing a person's mental and emotional wellbeing. It gives people an outlet for their emotions, showcases their creativity, and allows them to detach from their stress and worries. Our creative art workshop includes concept-based art projects that dive into topics of mental health and wellbeing. Our goal is to create a judgment-free environment that focuses on the process of creating. Students are encouraged to create without any pressure or expectations!

Smartphone Photography
Photography can have a positive effect on mental health and physical wellbeing. It helps bring focus to positive life experiences, enhances their self-worth, and reduces the stress hormone cortisol. Photography also promotes exercising, exploring new places, and enjoying the outdoors, which can benefit a person's physical wellbeing. Our photography workshop focuses on the basic fundamentals of photography while capturing the world through the student's eyes, documenting their precious life moments!

Dance
Dance can help train a person's memory and can improve a person's mood. It is an effective type of exercise that raises a person's heart rate and works their muscles, which helps with symptoms of depression and anxiety by releasing certain chemicals in their brain, helping them forget about their stress and worries. Learning new dance moves and different dance styles can sharpen a person's brain’s ability to remember details and improve their motor skills. Our dance workshop includes the fundamentals of dance and is designed so students feel safe to express themselves physically through dance. We offer different dance styles such as Hip Hop, Breaking (Breakdancing), Street Jazz, Popping, Locking, KPop, House, Waacking, and Voguing.
Yoga
Yoga can improve balance, flexibility, range-of-motion, and strength. It can also enhance mental health, although these benefits are harder to measure. Although yoga movements are slow and controlled, they still elevate a person's heart rate, make the muscles work hard, and stimulate the release of helpful brain chemicals such as dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine. As a result, yoga can make a person happier which can help relieve depression. Yoga has also be proven to reduce stress, relieve anxiety and improve a person's sleep. Our workshop introduces basic yoga poses and breathing techniques to help develop a deeper sense of body, mental and emotional awareness.
Reiki
Reiki is a technique for releasing stress and tension; allowing the body to naturally heal itself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The benefits of Reiki include: pain relief, emotional balance, inner peace, concentration and sharper focus. Our Reiki workshop introduces self-healing energy, Reiki history & principles, power symbols, chakras, hand placements, and attunement.
