
Afterschool Programs
Rhythm & Art offers afterschool programs for students each Fall, Winter, and Spring term. We offer classes in various schools across the Lower Mainland in British Columbia. All of our classes are taught by professional art and dance instructors who have extensive teaching and coaching experience. Please contact us for more information about our classes.
Creative Art (6-8)

Create from your heart! This class includes a wide variety of drawing, painting, and mixed media art projects that are specifically designed for your child’s age and ability. Students will learn how to draw using different lines, shapes, colours, textures, form, space, and value. Students will also learn the basics of handling acrylic paints and brushes while exploring a variety of different drawing and painting techniques.
*All art supplies and materials are included in the course fee


World Art (9-12)

Explore the world as you see it! In this class, students will be introduced to art projects that involve a combination of different drawing, painting, mixed media art projects. Students will learn how to draw using different lines, shapes, colours, textures, form, space, and value. This class also focuses on the fundamentals of composition, tone, and blending of colors with proper balance, contrast, emphasis, proportion, rhythm, variety, and unity through art.

Breaking & Hip Hop (6-8)

Explore basic dance moves and body movements! This class covers the basic foundation of hip hop and breaking techniques. Students will learn a basic combination of movements to help build their memory and motor skills. With these various movements and techniques, students will learn to freestyle where they are encouraged to be creative.

Dance dance dance! This class covers the foundation of hip hop and breaking techniques while allowing students the freedom to explore their own personal dance style. Students are encouraged to express themselves rhythmically through creativity and athleticism.
